installing memory

Having installed extra memory in my iMac 21.5 , wanted to do the same for my wife's identical computer. Hoever, on the Crucial site there's a warning relating to installation of memory for Mountain Lion use. This requirement ( to follow steps in an Apple article,) has made me hesitate about ordering.

Can anyone tell me if the procedure for installation into a mid-2011 iMac has changed? If so, is it more difficult than the previous method?

Any advice would be welcomed.

If your wife's iMac is a 2011 machine it's a very straight forward process and assuming your iMac is also a mid 20111 21.5" iMac the process will be identical. Just make sure the RAM you purchase fit the specifications Apple, Crucial and OWC (www.macsales.com) specificy. DO NOT INSTALL incorrect RAM.
