I always have my Mail, Safari and another 2-3 applications opened at the same time (Adobe ID, AI and PS). As much as having a large, 27" screen, and even though I limit each individual app's window to not fill up the full screen, they all end up filling up my screen... 

 

Now, when using Mail, wanting to manually select and attach a file from the right side of my Desktop where I keep stuff, what's the best way to clear out some of those cluttering windows?  I know I can click the "attach" button in Mail and naviagte to the Desktop, but I'm used to grab and drop attachments to my Mail message...
