E-mail send blocked by WiFi supplier

I am travelling overseas using various WiFi suppliers. I can receive but not send e-mails via my mail.bigpond.com server. Is there a way I can reconfigure mail to get ariund this problem?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

Try port 587 for outgoing mail server.

" Please note that some ISP’s block mail relaying through the default SMTP port of 25, so you may also need to change the outgoing server port (in advanced settings) to 587."
