Use Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion to trash your preferences.
What are the exact specifications of your computer and of the media you're working with?
It's OS X 10.8.1 and Final Cut Pro X 10.0.9. Thank you!
I did it but i have the same problem...
Again, what format is your media? Select a clip in the event browser and in the Inspector go to the Info tab and take a screenshot of what is reported.
Also, describe what actions you are taking when FCP crashes.

That OS is not supported. Look at the application system requirements. You need a later version of the system.
This is the latest version of FCP.
I try it but whatever i do, it crashes! ðŸ˜
Run Software Update.
Russ
"No software update"
I don't know how you downloaded the software from the App Store while running that version of the operating system. If you computer cannot be updated to a later version of the OS, the application will not run.
Wait a minute, I'm using Final Cut Pro X v10.0.9 with Snow Leopard v10.6.8. And Themis, your salutation shows Mountain Lion 10.8.4. Also, the App Store icon will have a red notification badge when there are updates available. It should be on your Dock at the bottom of the screen, or in the Application folder.
Good catch. He wrote 10.8.1, which I think has lead to a lot if confusion, certainly on my part.
