Hey cyfrommayo
If the videos are taking a long time to load and appear to be skipping, try the troubleshooting steps in the article below for Wi-Fi troubleshooting.

Hi Norm G.
Thank you for your valued reply. It is probably me being a little dim, but the first hyperlink seems to be about DOWNLOADING PAST PURCHASES, and not Wi-Fi troublleshooting? Is it me?
cyfrommayo
No it isn't you being dim. Norm created a link to the wrong Apple support article. Try this one.
Troubleshooting Wi-Fi issues in OS X
To clarify, you are trying to stream Internet videos via WiFi?
Hey cyfrommayo,
Apologies for the incorrect link, Eric did provide the right link for you. Also check to make sure that your router is using the recommended settings.

Thank you both, much appreciated. As previously stated by me, it is a big learning curve for Geriatric like me, but I like swiming with the rest, so many thanks for your help.

Eric, I do not have enough experience to answer your last paragraph "To clarify, you are trying to stream Internet videos via WiFi?", but yes, I think that this is the process I am trying to achieve. In a knutshell, using hyperlinks, I am trying to see the help videos, which stutter their way through the time slots.
Now, i do suspect the Wi-Fi link, as just about everyone around here (rural west coast of Ireland) complains of the poor speed of access. furthermore this machine is new, as from last week, so I am working my way through the obvious!
Kind regards to you and Norm

The question related to how are you accessing the Internet - WiFi or via an Ethernet cable. If you can hook your computer to your router via an Ethernet cable transfer speeds are usually 2 -3 times faster than WiFi.
Hi Eric,
Well, there is no cable, either telephone WiFi or anything else to our farm, we are just too far from anywhere. What we have is is a transmission mast some 5 or 6 kilometres away from us, which gives us a reasonable and stabe conection untill the school children get on line.
As we live close to the WESTERN IRELAND KNOCK airport, there is a hope that we can eventually get Ethernet, until then, I think that this is my hicup problem.
Many thanks for helping us get to this understanding, it is most appreciated.

You are welcome.
