How to adjust default permissions for new shared folders on Snow Leopard Server?

Hello all,

Here at the organization I'm working for, we are having an issue with the default permissions on new shared folders, created by other users on Snow Leopard Server. Essentially, whenever anyone creates a new shared folder within one of the shared 'parent' folders, the permissions have to be adjusted every time in order for people to be able to add files to that folder and give people read/write access to that folder and any files within it.

We need everyone to have read/write access to any new folders and files created within the shared parent folder.

Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

Someone here may be able to help, but you'd likely get better response from the Snow Leopard Server forum:

So this helped, but unforunately doesn't solve the issue. We have actually tried this before; the issue though, is that we have to do this process every single time we create new folders within the parent folders, whether those folders are created by the admin or by any user. Our solution has to be in adjusting the default settings for new folders; that way, no matter who creates a new folder within the shared parent folder, everyone will have Read/Write access to it.

Thanks for your response. Please let me know if you can think of any other possible solutions! 🙂
