Power Mac Ram?

Hello,

I have ordered RAM for the Power mac g5, I put it in, it worked. I have just fixed my power mac g5 from some chronic problem that has been going on for a week. Now it is giving me 3 flashes (I believe it means incorrect RAM installed-?).

Any help appreciated,

Jelimoore

The three beeps indicates faulty, incompatible RAM or the RAM isn't sitting properly in the respective RAM slots.

Who makes the RAM and where was it purchased.

Correct and reliable Mac RAM can be purchased from online Mac RAM sources Crucial memory or OWC (macsales.com). If you are not from the U.S., both OWC and Crucial memory have international shipping. Crucial memory has multiple websites that cover the entire Earth.

Corsair RAM can be unreliable and unstable in a Mac.

Some users have reported no issues, but other have also reported problems with this RAM.

Return it and purchase 100% reliable and compatible Mac RAM from OWC or Crucial memory.

Their memory is guaranteed to work without issues in Macs and have a lifetime replacement warranty if their RAM should fail or is found faulty.

On the Hard Drive, make sure it is SATA 1.5Gb/s compatable.

Tiger Requirements...

To use Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, your Macintosh needs:

* A PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor

* Built-in FireWire

* At least 256 MB of RAM (I recommend 1GB minimum)

* DVD drive (DVD-ROM), Combo (CD-RW/DVD-ROM) or SuperDrive (DVD-R) for installation

* At least 3 GB of free disk space; 4 GB if you install the XCode 2 Developer Tools (I recommend 20GB minimum)

Ok, I'm not sure the installation went well. I formatted my sata hard drive Mac osx extended(journaled) and APM

Based, I checked it in my actual new working Mac and it had no files, just 4 folders, but when I boot up, it shows the Mac boot screen, then after 10 seconds, it shows me the kernel panic, which says it has no driver installed for the power Mac g5.

Anything appreciated,
