Mail keeps asking for my iCloud account password

All of a sudden Mail keeps asking for my iCloud password. I enter it and it still keeps asking. How do I get rid of this annoying box?

If Mail keeps asking you for your iCloud email address, this is a sign that something goes wrong with the server configuration.

The easiest thing you can do is to delete and add the iCloud account again. Close Mail, open System Preferences > iCloud and untick Mail. Then, tick Mail and open the Mail application, and see if you can connect. If not, there may be a problem with the server
