Q: My Photobooth isn't working?

My Photo Booth is not working on my mac; when I click on 'Photo Booth', there is a message saying there is no connected camera. Theere is also no green light at the top. Do you know what is wrong?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

If restarting Mac does not resolve the issue, try the relevant troubleshooting suggestions in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090.

(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD."  Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)

Be sure to try more than one Apple camera app in more than one user account.

You might also want to update your OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2) to the most recent version by applying the 10.8.4 Combo Update.  I suggest that you use your Mac's Disk Utility to repair permissions immediately before AND again after installing the combo update.
