logitech mouse scroll fails to work why?

Using OS X 10.8.4 I find suddenly my Logitech Nano Wireless Mouse is behaving strangely. The most notable being that the scroll wheel no longeer functions properly. I've varied speed and settings in System preferences but all to no avail. Can anybody suggest how to get this function back in workgn order? I have no problems scrolling on the track pad so it seems the fault lies with the wireless mouse. Logitech website shows no driver updates to solve the problem.

Hi There,

I'm facing the exact-same problem you mentioned. I use a wireless logitech mouse (M187), the clicks are fine but the scrolling works only when I scroll fast. Slow scroll doesn't work. Were you able to find a solution to this?

The model is VX Nano. Tried everything in System Prefrences and have also now deleted Logitech drivers. Still no change. Scroll fails to work in either direction but has become intermittent i.e it will work for a second or two then fails completely. It won't work when using Safari, Firefox, Word, of Excel. Very frustrating! Battery replacement was the first line of approach .. no change.

The latest Mac software can be obtained from the VX Nano Downloads Page.

See the support page. The questions address some of your exact issues as well if this driver does not resolve the problem. You may need to also 1) clean the mouse, 2) reset the unifying receiver

My wife uses a similar mouse and the same operating system on an iMac and she, too, has experienced the same problem an dgone back to a usb onnected mouse, and now she is having no problems! I dont think the mouse is broken, there is a problem somewhere! I have now purchased a different make and will try this to see what happens.

Oops, ignore this post. My issue happens on Sierra, and there is already a thread on this exact problem. Seems Apple managed to break basic mouse functionality, good job Apple !!!.

I have this issue too, started a little while ago. Scrolling does not work when scrolling slow, e.g. single clicks on the mouse wheel, but does work when scrolling fast. Unfortunately unplugging the usb received did not help in my case. Very frustrating.
