Can i purchase candycrush extras (things to help me pass a level) with an itunes gift card?

I recieved itunes gift cards for my bday, havent used them yet. I also am stuck on this dam candycrush level for weeks!!

I wanted to see if i could use the cards to purchase extras to help me pass the level.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

In-app purchases are charged to your iTunes store account, so if you deposit the gift card to your account you can make in-app purchases using it.
