I just bought a new MacBook Pro retina with no disk drive and need to upload some files from disk. I thought there is a way to use the drive on my iMac to transfer . Is that possible?

I thought I read an article where it's possible to use the disk drive of another computer (IMAC) to install a windows system file on my macbook. I have Parallels 8 installed already, but the exe. file for windows won't open and there is not an iso. file for windows 8 pro yet. My back up disk just arrived today, so I would like to avoid buying a superdrive if I can.

Thanks.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
