Airport Utility and Time Capsule
So as part of my new IMAC puchase I also purchased Time Capsule (TC) 2TB as a backup and wi-fi option. It asked mt to configure it as a 'Bridge' which I did.
I also have the lasest version of Airport Utility 6.3?. I installed the TC as per instructions and created a new Wireless newtork and and I can access the TC and the Internet. All fine there. However when I look at the Airport utility option and try to change or look at settings as per the manual
On a Macintosh computer using Mac OS X v10.4 or later:
1
Open AirPort Utility, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
2
Select your Time Capsule and click Continue.
If you don’t see the Time Capsule you want to configure, click Rescan to scan for
available wireless devices, and then select your Time Capsule from the list.
3
Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Time Capsule and your wireless
network.
I cant see my TC as under Airport Utility to do the above. I get messages saying I haven't created amn Airport base station and yet I can see the TC and it will do Time Machine backups ?
So question is how do I create a 'base station' so I can get to view the settings in Airport Utility.
Additionally my PS3 needs to be re-configured and is asking for WK2 passwords - which were set up automatically when I ran the TC install. Question is how do I see these passwords.
I've read the forums but camt find a post/amswer that can help me, so any replies from the 'experts' is appreciated.
