Oct 9, 2013 10:10 AM in response to Reini-Wienby jsiess11,My advice is just wait - they will change back. This has happened before and I've seen no "fix" do it permanently. Last time this happened, I think it was a month or two ago and it was like this for several days, then right back to normal. No idea why though. As with others, for me, it only affects 2 of my shared calendars - I'll note that they were both from the few original calendars that Apple provides when you get started (I renamed them for my own purposes of course and changed the colors) - they are reverting back to their original colors for some reason.

Oct 9, 2013 10:16 AM in response to Reini-Wienby dan akerib, crazy stuff - me too! So here's a not very satisfying "fix" (or at least a way to reduce the annoyance and be able to distinguish my Work calendar from others): if Work insists on being purple, well, then, "Personal" and "US holidays", you lose you purple status and become yellow! This seems to be stable...

Oct 9, 2013 10:38 AM in response to Reini-Wienby Davisa_78,Same thing here. Very annoying. I submitted feedback to Apple via this link. http://www.apple.com/feedback/ical.html
Although, in the drop-down menus, it doesn't provide the option to choose "iPhone" or "iPad" etc., which is what it seems most of us are having problems with. I just made note that I see the issue on my iPad and iPhone in the comments section.
Hoping this gets resolved quickly!!!!! Wishing I didn't update to the new operating system!!

Oct 9, 2013 10:55 AM in response to Reini-Wienby Alex Sobie,Same issue as everyone else. Just occurred today. Three of my calendars changed colors suddenly. I've tried changing them back on my laptop and iPhone to no avail, they just keep reverting back. It's more than disconcerting, it's downright scary that the cloud is refusing to accept the change.

Oct 9, 2013 1:38 PM in response to Reini-Wienby Pierre Degaillande1,I'm having the same problem. ICloud seems to create a whole world of problems all over the place, duplicate emails, disappearing emails, unsent texts, duplicate contacts, etc. Total clusterf...

Oct 9, 2013 1:48 PM in response to gbknitsby h23li,I think it started Tuesday Oct 8 in the evening (California time). Seems that a programmer changed some iCloud code and introduced the bug without knowing it. For the default green and brown, the calenders on the Mac, iPhone, and iPad are displaying customized blue and customized purple instead. Not a difficult bug to fix. But someone at Apple got to know this and change the index of the default colors.

Oct 9, 2013 1:50 PM in response to Reini-Wienby MajorIP4,I also sent feedback to Apple. For me, I can select my perferred color for one of my shared calendars on my iPhone and it sticks. However on iCloud web and Mac ical it switches to a custom color within seconds.
Annoying.

Oct 9, 2013 1:53 PM in response to MajorIP4by GravityLightspeed,@MajorIP4: for me it's exactly the same. I can change it back on iPhone and it sticks, but changing it in mac doesn't work and it switches back within seconds.
Apple please tackle this.

Oct 10, 2013 2:53 AM in response to Reini-Wienby BellaVitaPhoto,I am having the same issue. It sounds like it is the "work" calendar and changing to purple...This is frustrating, since I just did the newest "fix" update last night and now this is happening. *sigh*

Oct 10, 2013 3:02 AM in response to Reini-Wienby reitermoritz,My fellow Apple users, I plead that you please desist from posting in this discussion if you do not have a good solution for the problem or substantial new information. It has became more than obvious that a lot of people are experiencing the problems and are annoyed by it. But it does not help anyone to add an endless flow of "me too" postings here.
It would make much more sense to try and raise awareness for the issue on Apple's side if you would insted send your feedback regarding the issue to Apple here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/ical.html
Thank you very much.
