Oct 10, 2013 4:02 AM in response to reitermoritzby Reini-Wien,Dear reitermoritz,
it does make sense to add a 'me too' here, as it shows the importance of this issue by the number of replies - which in return should tell Apple to take an action... especially as it seems that this issue has no 'user solution'.
The feedback url is a good thing though and has been mentioned before - and I guess many have sent feedback already (me too :-) - so this should be covered.
My opinion only...

Oct 10, 2013 4:06 AM in response to Reini-Wienby ericafromwallingford,I do agree with Reini-Wien that we need to demonstrate the scale of this issue and Apple doesn't seem to be very proactive in putting it right. However, having said that, I changed the colour back to its original again this morning and now - at lunchtime - it is stuck!!! So I could be being too optimistic, but seems to be ok so far.
Here's hoping... Thank you for all your posts as this is my first venture into joining one of these online discussions and I found it very comforting to realise I wasn't alone.

Oct 10, 2013 4:40 AM in response to Reini-Wienby Leon Appleseed,Hi guys I had this problem and it was driving me crazy.
I will say before hand I have Time Machine running and will assume you all keep your systems backed up too!!
After fixing the problem I did lose all recurring and future events but I have got them back through Time Machine.
Anyway…
1) Go in to Calendar. Select each of your iCloud calendars then choose File>Export)
Export your iCloud calendars to desktop. (Work, personal etc) don't change the name.
2) Go to Finder>Go (whilst holding option key) select Library.
--The next step is to reinstall future/recurring events
3) Make a copy of folder Calendar.
4) Log-in to iCloud.com and select calendar
5) create a new calendar called 'test' or something.
6) Delete your iCloud Calendars from iCloud (be brave!)
7) Create new calendars in iCloud.com calling them the same name they were before, they will obviously be empty.
8) Open Calendar on your Mac. Your new empty calendars should be there waiting for you.
9) Double click on your exported calendars on the desktop from earlier and select the appropriatete calendar when prompted.
That should be it.
Now as I said when I checked my calendar after this there were no future events. I reinstalled the calendar folder from Time Machine but the copy we made earlier should be fine.
a) Go to Finder>Library (as in step 2 above)
b) Delete Folder Calendar
c) Rename your Calendar Copy folder (from step 3 above) back to calendar
Hope this helps. My calendar is back to normal

Oct 10, 2013 4:53 AM in response to Leon Appleseedby jaracic,Hi,
I hope Apple will provide a fix without deleting and recreating our calendars.
Actually I'll wait for a solution a little longer before asking to all users that subscribed to these calendar to resubscribe...

Oct 10, 2013 5:00 AM in response to Pacopass1by iPod 60Gb Black,This worked for me although I had to go through It a few times to get it to 'stick' in iCloud. Initially iCloud kept deleting the new calendar and reinstating the new one.

Oct 10, 2013 5:04 AM in response to Reini-Wienby reitermoritz,Reini-Wien, the thing is: Apple employees won't be around here, no one at Apple will notice it, no matter how many post "me too" here. This is a discussion board where users can helps other users. A meaningful exchange about the problem gets very difficult in a discussion that is cluttered with an endless flow of "me too" posts that do not add any other information.
The feedback system is designed by Apple to get feedback from users, that is where they look. Not here, because this is not a feedback system but a user to user discussion board.

Oct 10, 2013 11:09 AM in response to Reini-Wienby zibberfitchy,Same problem here. I assigned the color blue to my main calendar and green to a shared calendar. The main calendar keeps changing back to purple and the shared calendar (which I own) changes to blue. I've changed the color in the Calendar app on my Mac and it changes back as above. I've changed the colors on my iPhone and it still changes back as above. I've changed the colors on my iPad, still changes back. I even changed the colors in iCloud.com and they change back. This is only happening with two of my calendars.
iMac running OS X 10.8.5
iPhone 5s running iOS 7.0.2
iPad 3 running iOS 7.0.2

Oct 10, 2013 1:17 PM in response to Sokuyaby Leon Appleseed,Hi Sokuya I recently posted a a soloution to this problem, it was for Mac. I see you are using an iPhone. As I stated in my other post the problem is in the Cloud.
So you will need to go to iTunes and select "back-up iPhone to this computer" DO THIS FIRST!!
Follow steps 4-6 from my earlier post.
Now go and restore your iphone from the back-up on your computer. Your old calendars should be on there and go back in to the cloud refreshed.
Since I did this I have had no issues with my iCloud calendars Mac or iPhone.
Let me know how you get on.
PS.
Once you have done this you can delete the 'test' calendar. That was there because iCloud says you must have at least one calendar.

Oct 11, 2013 1:40 AM in response to Reini-Wienby ShaunMellors,Hi, Please APPLE sort this out! I am having the same problem on all of my devices - they are automatically selecting pastel colours that clash with one another. Changing back with calendar>get info does not hold either. Come on guys this is highly frustrating - sort it out soon!

Oct 11, 2013 4:02 AM in response to Reini-Wienby aguest,I just had the same problem. I went to the iCloud to change the colors back, but they would automatically change back.
Here's what I did:
1. Take your calendars offline in iCal
2. Export the calendars that change color to the desktop
3. Delete the calendars from both the iCloud and iCal
4. Create new calenders in iCal making them the color you want
5. Import the calendars from the desktop int your new calenders
Good luck!
