The ones that are free. Your iMac has got 4 slots that supports 32 GB of memory (4x8 GB). As your iMac already came with 2 slots used, use the other 2 slots to install the memory sticks you bought > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1423?viewlocale=en_US#1

If you are really replacing the two 2gb sticks with 2 4gb sticks use the same slots the 2gb sticks are in,
If you are adding the 4gb sticks use the two empty slots.

THank you, Frank and Mende. Being an idiot, I didn't realize that simply adding sticks to the existing ones was an option. Shall certainly go for 12gb. That option is not made clear on the Crucial site.
