I found my old iTouch first gen... can I update the software and be able to download any app? Or is the ipod too old?

It can only be updated to iOS 3.1.3.

I also have an iPod Touch 1 with iOS 3.1.3. Lots of apps still available on iTunes. Using iTunes to find them is near impossible.
