hello
today i received my new apple tv
i connected it earlier andit worked
later on i tried to use it again but the light isalways flashing slowly and i can only see the apple sign on the tv.
any suggestions ??
sure i am on the correct input in the tv (hdmi)

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)
Also the power ??
I guess not, I connected the power than I saw the restore button
How long should it take to "contacting the Apple TV software update server..."?

Are you restoring via the computer, are you using an Apple TV 2, if so you shouldn't be using the power cable.
You should only wait a few seconds for the restore process to begin, any downloads should only take minutes.
