pages quits during mail merge

Hi, trying to mail merge a document in Pages with data from Adressbook or Numbers. Both sources make Pages to do an unexpected quit!

I can assign the fields of the database, hitting "Mail Merge" (to docs) let's quit Pages immediately …

At first, a merge with a Numbers doc would happen, but I had to do some changes, next time it made Pages quit.

Then I moved the adresses to Adressbook and succeeded to merge anew. The next try failed, and since then all tries fail.

What I did: repair ownership, Unix routines, restart, remove prefs of Pages, Adressbook and Numbers

What else could I do now?
