Printing to Canon Printer IR c2880 - Problem

Printer appears to be online and functioning (IP address works fine and html access shows the printer operational)

attempted to connect via printer setup (sees the printer, added the printer using the IPP, selected the Canon driver v4.0 for the printer

looks like I can see all the functionality for the printer, but it never prints. Just goes into "PAUSE" mode every time.

It's 2013 and I really don't want to delve into the bowels of print driver diagnostics. What options / solutions can folks offer ?

thanks

Pahu,

You have helped me before with Canons & macOS printing.

I have a problem again with macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 and a Canon iR ADV 8205...

I have tried all combos of settings. Printer needs a Dept ID, which I give it, downloaded latest driver. The printer seems to block each job.

Setting up as IP printing with IP address and Canon driver PS... this is vexing, please help if you can message me or reply. Much thanks!

Yep...tried several settings. I don't see any error messages. I still get the same response when trying to send to the printer. All print jobs go into pause mode on the computer. Never seems to make it into the print queue on the printer. Worked with dozens of printers in other organizations. Not seen this one before.

where can I find diagnostics to figure this out (all the config tools from Canon are built for Windows...nc)

thanks
