How do I insert greek letters (alfa, beta, delta etc) in a text?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Menu > Edit > Special Characters > click on the little gear icon top left > select categories > European Alphabetic Scripts > Greek > double click on the characters you want to insert in your text


Depending on your keyboard some of the characters can be typed directly:


option W = ∑


option d = ∂


option j = ∆


option z = Ω


option p = π


option m = µ


option shift P = ∏
