can someone please help me, i am signed into facetime and imessage on my broken ipod touch and can not sign out as the touch does not work on it. i am getting a new apple devise in the very near future and i want to use the same apple ID, is it possible for me to sign out of these aplications (facetime, imessage) with out having to use the ipod? any suggestions would be greatly apriciated. Thanks

sorry i forgot to mention, the touch sensor is not working so i can not do anything with the ipod
If you setup a support profile with Apple, you can login to that support profile & remove your iPod. If you didn't do that, you can change your Apple ID password, even though this is supposed to disassociate the device from your Apple ID, it doesn't always work. If it doesn't, you'll have to call AppleCare.
Well if the ipod is not going to be fixed and is to be dumped there is no reason why you cannot use the same ID. Once the ipod battery goes flat nothing can communicate with it
Ok thank you so much! Sorry now im not the best with these kind of things, does that mean that any past messages i have got while it has been off will come through to my new iphone if i use my same ID?
Well if the ipod has been off it can't receive messages but if you use the same ID on the phone then the imessages should come thru to the phone
how do i log into the support profile? i cant see it on the apple website? and if i change my password does that sign out is that what you were saying? Thanks for the reply
