It may be 'normal' if you are playing games, using Skype or other very CPU intensive applications. It is NOT normal if you are entering text or doing some casual Internet browsing.


Open Activity Monitor and set it to ALL PROCESSES and set %CPU to display values from high to low. When your MBP gets hot post images of your MBP temperatures and Activity Monitor for evaluation.
