Aug 15, 2013 1:08 PM in response to Pablo.techby Jakob Peterhänsel,Is the references still there in iTunes?
If yes, where does it point to? (Get info, tap 1: path) (Click No when asked to look for it)

Aug 15, 2013 1:33 PM in response to Russ Hby Pablo.tech,Uhhh, no. What's that? Where can I find that?
I did a search on the whole HDD for the movie file and it didn't show up, so I don't think it'll be there, but I will try. I just need to know where it is

Aug 15, 2013 3:06 PM in response to Russ Hby Pablo.tech,No, in order to have that folder I would still have to have the projects, in which case I would simply export the project again.
I don't have te project anymore, therefore no shared folder.
Any other suggestions?

Well, it's the first time you've let on that you didn't have the projects. Why is that the projects are missing? Did you trash them?
There is a difference between not having the exported movie and not having the project (and presumably not the event either).

Aug 15, 2013 3:33 PM in response to Russ Hby Pablo.tech,Yes. There is no need to keep them besides extra memory being taken up, so I delete them. I keep them for 3 days after the export, just in case, then i delete them. This has never been a problem before though. I have other movies exported from FCPx that dont have the respective projects and they are still working. I purposely deleted them.
Sorry for not including this earlier. I didnt think it was in any way relevant. My fault.
The problem is not having the project. I couldn't care less about recovering the project. I am exclusively interested in recovering the exported movie. That exported file in now MIA, so to speak, and nowhere to be found.

Well, stuff happens and here is a case where archiving would have been valuable.
Afraid the only way that you will be able to get your work back is if you use Time Machine or some other BU utility and can restore from that.

Aug 15, 2013 3:43 PM in response to Pablo.techby Pablo.tech,Ok, I understand.
Ok, so restoring my work is impossible, but how do I stop this from happening? It wasn't like they were all deleted simultaneously. They were deleted one by one over time. Is there anyway I can stop that?

Aug 15, 2013 3:52 PM in response to Pablo.techby Jakob Peterhänsel,Well, I haven't heard about stuff just getting deleted that way - not even if the system runs out of space on the HD.
Something is deleting the files.
Not sure what to suggest, other than make sure the disk is Ok.
Disk Utility can help, but it's not the best. DiskWarrior can actually rebuild the disk index, if needed.
