... 1 or 2 or 3 minutes in. Have to hit the 'on' button then the 'play' arrow to make it continue. This happens 2-4 times in the course of one song. Can I adjust it in 'settings'? Is my nano just broken or ill?

If you have not already done so, does resetting your iPod nano help the issue?
