You can have a million apple IDs, but you can only use one for icloud and one for itunes.

Very likely. You should try to use one and retire the other.

But if the retired Apple ID purchased iTunes items you would like to continue to use (e.g., songs, apps), then open iTunes on your computer, go to Store > Authorize this computer in iTunes' menu, and enter the retired Apple ID and password. Then sync your iPhone using that iTunes.

i-devices (e.g., iPhones) are intended to be used with one Apple ID to a single user.
