Smart Playlist is showing duplicate icloud purchases

When I go to make a Smart Playlist of an album that I have purchased and dowloaded from iTunes the playlist that is created not only includes these downloaded songs but also duplicates of the same songs with the icloud icon next to them. Can anybody tell me why and how to stop it? Thanks!!
