Background music for iMovie.

I just checked my iMovie and the stock background music is there. I found the by clicking he Music symbol " " and then clicked "Theme Music". I didn't have the older version iMovie 9 so I can't say these are the same music files. I would delete the app and download iMovie again. If this doesn't work. Delete the app again then do a hard reboot. Then download one more time. Hopefully this will correct your issue.

I may be misunderstanding you but the "Music" I'm referring to is an icon on the menu bar in the middle of the screen after you open a project. On my menu bar I see icons for adding: Video, Pictures, Music. They are arranged in that order. The screen above these three icons automatically shows by default the movie clips I have in my Photos. When I click the Music icon the screen above these three icons changes to say Audio and below it I have these selections: Theme Music, Sound Effects, Playlists, Albums, Artists, Songs.

I can understand your reluctance to delete and reinstall the program. Unfortunately that is the only way I know that might help. I hope someone else has an alternative for you.

Yikes! Glad you said that. I'm going to see if I can save some of the themes. I like them too. Thanks or the heads up.
