Can't install Mac OS X 10.1 or 10.2??

I had Mac OS 9.2 on my PowerBook G3/333 and i thought I would upgrade it to Mac OS X and I've tried many different versions. I firstly tried Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar, that seemed to install fine until I tried to boot it. It showed the stop sign and I couldn't go futher. Then i tried installing Mac OS X 10.1 Puma and it boots and loads fine, but no installer is showing up? Have been waiting for a couple of minutes, but nothing happens? Any ideas what could be wrong?

The G3 PowerBook 333Hz was made between May 1999 and Feb 2000. It came with Mac OS 8.6 installed and can be upgraded to a maximum of OS X 10.3.9.

There is no legal download for 10.2 or 10.3 and must be purchased from a used software source. You may have downloaded an incremental update which requires that you have the basic version of OS X installed. I don't know the sellers that may be in Sweden but eBay has been a good source in the USA. The links below are examples of 10.2 and 10.3 eBay searches.

The retail disks are what you want as there were no OS X install disks included with a G3 PowerBook.

This is what they look like.
