can you save a frame from a iphone video to make it a photo

I admit to being technologically uneducated, but is it possible to create a photo/jpeg/still frame from a video i took with my iphone? I' usually pretty good at figuring things out, but no luck so far.

Any assistance would be much appreciated!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), iphone 4S

Yes with the correct software - iphoto can not - Quick Time Pro can - I believe iMovie can - check in those forums for help with those programs

Yes. If you can play the movie in Quicktime Player, pause the movie at the frame you want to save and make a screenshot of it.
