MacBook charger flashing orange

So this after noon I plugged my iPad mini into my MacBook to put songs on it and poof! It shut off with in 5 minutes maybe even sooner. Since then I have tried a smc reset, I have a back up brand new charger I tried also, still nothing. All it does is flash Orange. I also have a replacement Battery also brand new, that I have not tried yet...was wondering if anyone had a issue like this? PLEASE HELP! This is a late 2012 model not even 4 weeks from best buy. Should I put in the new battery I have?

You are using the USB cable to connect the iPad to the MacBook correct?

Ok, that didn't show me anything really...I think I may have to put the new battery in...idk just yet though...:(

Try Resetting the PRAM

Tip. Avoid using battery power only when connecting a device to your Mac instead of battery power only.

Will the MBP start with just the battery?

If not, an Apple store genius bar is the best option.

Have you inspected and cleaned the contacts of the MBP and the power adapters?

If the MBP will start, post this from your MBP, with the charger attached:

This is from System Information>Hardware>Power>Battery Information.
