It's mainly only music and photos l'm trying to transfer. Thanks again.

Also, if you only want to transfer music and photos, don't use Migration Assistant or Setup Assistant. Simply connect an external drive to your PowerPC-based Mac and copy the music and photos to the external drive. Once you have set up the new computer, connect the external drive to it and copy your photos and music to the hard drive. Much easier and you will save time
