Q: no sound on tv from macbook
I connected my Macbook (from 2009) to the TV. I can see the picture, but cannot get the sound from the macbook on the TV?
I have a connector in the headset port and a white & red plug in the TV. I cannot seem to figure out how to get the sound?
I have looked at the sound settings, but cannot select TV for instance for the sound output? I have an LG 32LH3300 TV.
I looked at the settings for the TV and there I can also not find any suitable option to get the sound.
I hope someone is able to help me.
Thanks!

Only a few MacBooks support audio over Mini DisplayPort. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4241?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
In the case of the MacBook, only the Mid 2010 MacBook supports audio, so you can't get sound on the TV. You have to keep getting sound from your MacBook's speakers or use external speakers
