My 27-inch iMac is stuck on 1280x720

My iMac's screen (3.4 GHz Intel Core i7) is stuck on 1280x720. In the display settings I can choose between 1280x720 or 800x600. I've tried to log out and restart with no luck.

The only additional program installed is a Wacom driver.

Does anybody know what this might be?

Thanks!

Reset the PRAM > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379

If it doesn't work, hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting, and reinstall OS X.

If your iMac is in warranty or you have purchased it recently, simply take it to an Apple Store or reseller or contact with Apple by phone > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 You will get your iMac replaced or repaired for free, as it looks like a hardware problem.
