When I go to sync her ipod to my account, Itunes wants to remove all her tunes, before it will install the ones she wants from mine. She wants to keep what she already has on it. How can we do this?

This can be done by putting the iPod into 'manual mode.' You'll want to enable this with the iPod connected while in her account.
