iPhone and iPad suddenly can't find hotmail server

Suddenly, both my iPhone and iPad have stopped receiving email thorugh hotmail. I get an error message on both devices that the hotmail server cannot be found. I have turned the phone on & off, and have uninstalled and installed hotmail, without success. I think that the hotmail server is working, because I am getting hotmail messages on my Blackberry. Any ideas?
