Buyers beware! Missing downloads from Itunes

I recently put in a new hard drive cos my macbook crashed and I was assured that all my files would be available for download. I am missing a few hundred songs and some audiobooks and movies. One of the movies "Forever Young" I was told it isn't available anymore but I can clearly see that it is. An audiobook that I was also told isn't available is also still svailable on the Itunes store.

 

Any advice on how to download these items which I have already paid for and have a receipt? When I contacted Itunes support they said there is nothing they can do! Disappointed!

    They are not in with your Purchases?

     

    iTunes Store > Purchased (in the Quick Links section on the right)

    Audiobooks have never been available for re-downloading. You'll need to restore them from your backup, as you will for any content that the content owner has removed from the iTunes Store. As to the other items, go to the iTunes Store, log into your account, and click the Purchases link under the Quick Links. From there you should be able to re-download some or all of your purchased content. Note that not all content has been licensed for re-downloading in all countries at this time.     You can also re-download content using an iOS device.

    If you have purchased content that does not appear in your Purchases list, confirm that it was not purchased through some other iTunes Store account. If you're certain that is not the case, go here:

    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
