If you buy an itunes match subscription, does this mean that all your songs in your itunes library on your pc will go in iCloud? So you basically need more iCloud space?

No. There is a 25,000 song limit. iTunes Store purchases made with the same Apple ID being used for iTunes Match do not count towards the 25,000 song limit.
