Whatsapp images not getting saved in camera roll

Yes i have the same issue. It does't save to camera roll until i open my whatsapp and the chat then it get saved to camera roll. Ver 2.17.52

I have dropped a mail to whatsapp too and below was the reply that I have got from them

Im having same problem. But yeaterday i decided to plug my iphone to the computer yo back up the images , and I was surprised to see that all my previous whatsapp pictures are saved, but they are not showing up in the Camera roll

Open Whatsapp, go to settings>Chat settings>Save Incoming Media>ON
