What is the best video format for a Mac?
I use my MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion) to project videos to my class. If I'm converting them, what is the best format to use?
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

An unwritten standard is MP4,... avi files are questionably a close second.
