Closing itunes account

How do I close my itunes account? I do not need it and I'm angry because it randomly charged my credit card with $1 when I did not purchase anything. Nothing shows up in my purchase history and I am the only one who uses my machine. All I want to do is close my account and get my dollar back. Unless there is a signup charge or something that is $1? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim

Its not a charge, its just a hold to vialadate the card is active. here is a part of this link http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/creditcard/

I have a question about a $1 charge on my statement.
Like most merchants, iTunes places a $1 authorization hold to verify that your credit card is active when you update your billing information. This is not an actual charge and the bank will remove the hold.
