Connecting MacBook Pro Retina to TV

I have a MacBook Pro Retina and I'm trying to connect it to my TV which is a Sony Bravia.

I have connected it via HDMI lead and this works, but the colours on the tv are not great, its like a colour negative film.

Do I have the correct cable?

Hi there,

It sounds like the color is inverted on your display. The article below has some information on how to revert this setting back to the default.
