Purchased music, book and audiobook today on i pad. Music and book have downloaded onto computer but not audiobook. I have looked at purchases and it is listed but can't make it download

I'm having the same problem in the other direction. I have my iPad set to automatically download recently purchased music and audiobooks, I bought a book this morning on my comp along with several songs and all the songs made it onto the iPad, but not the audiobooks.

@Ari, thanks for trying to help but that help link only discusses books in iBooks not audiobooks.

Audiobooks are currently sold as one time only downloads. If you download directly to a device you should transfer to a computer at the earliest opportunity, and you should backup your library. To get your audiobook on your device you will need to connect it to your iTunes library...
