Problem with charging my Ipad? (Strange)

OK so the Ipad dies(Needs charging), so i plug the Ipad into the wall charger, Starts charging it. When the ipad finally turns back on, it stops charging it!!!! so it leaves me with about 2%, i use it up, and the same problem repeats itself each time!!!!!

(NOTE: This problem started occuring after id come back from a 3 hour flight, With the ipad and Charger in the hand luggage, so its been through security(X-ray)...... Wondering if the problem could be connected to this??) 😕
