folder called VW in home folder

folder called VW in home folder

I just got this macbook two weeks ago and I notice inside the home folder a folder called "vw" poped up. There are three files inside it that are only 4kb each. I deleted them once and the reappered the next day. The tilte to these files are "3IX9Z0LY1XX0TCK546I98OL8IEK3GW7" Has anyone seen anything like this before and know anything about them? Any information would be great.

macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Never seen a folder like that before. And it reappears after deleting it? Thats a little creepy.

I'd do a Custom Erase & Install and get rid of the bloat, and see if its there after that.

Fibertoad,

It sounds to me like this is something that is being created by some application you have installed, possibly placing that app in your Login Items. Have you installed anything that might fit this bill?

it was an app that i installed, it was not hurting my comp at all so that is good, thanks for your help

Can someone help? I have this same folder. It keeps coming back and I can not track its origins other then it seems some people have seen it on a windows computer according to a search on Google.

What program is doing this?
