Where can I find a pi symbol?

Found it. Option P.

On the keyboard (US and Canadian English), option-p will give you π, shift-option-P will give you ∏ (upper case greek PI).
You can use Keyboard Viewer to see what characters are produced whin the option key is used as a modifier key.
