Q: Ipod Classic has giant red X

My Ipod classic was working just fine during my workday, then after a song ended it would not play any songs. when I looked at it, the battery was on red so I charged it as soon as I got home. After charging, I came to see this giant red X with a red circle around it after the apple logo appears. What can I do to get this reset/removed and be able to play music again? Thanks for your help

i had this problem and my ipod is out of warranty so i had nothing lose.
Do a manual rest and then firmly tap the side of your ipod as the needle and lens on the hard drive may have jumped out of place it took me 3 attempts but it is working fine now
