however when I select base station from the airport utility menu everything is grayed out.

My question is I am trying to add a WPS printer but under Base Station in Airport Utility the option is greyed out. What is wrong?

Please follow these steps exactly as stated:

Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility

Click on the AirPort Base Station icon

Click Edit in the small window that appears to the right

Click the Base Station menu

Click Add WPS Printer

Bob Timmons. People are asking what to do if Add WPS is grayed out. You keep telling them to do what they say the software is not allowing them to do.

Check your other post. We've made it as simple as possible, but some users just cannot follow the steps, because they leave one out.

thank you for the quick response but I don't get the edit in the small box. Instead I get enter password. Have no clue what password I would have on that device. The Best Buy Geek Squad installed it and never told me about a password...

WHat now?

Ask the Geeks to come back and set this up for you correctly......and leave the passwords with you.

It's a lot of work, but there are ways to reset the password, if you want to try that.
