Contact your account provider and get the settings from this worksheet and set it up http://km.support.apple.com/library/APPLE/APPLECARE_ALLGEOS/HT4810/My_Email_Sett ings.pdf
You can't change an account from POP to IMAP once it's set up. You must add the IMAP account as a new account, then transfer any mailbox messages you want (inbox / sent mail) from POP to IMAP before deleting the POP account from Mail.

Matt,
But how can I add the IMAP account with the same email. I tells me that account already exists. And I really need an email to set up a new account. So confused.
You must delete the POP account first. I would strongly recommend that you first create local (On My Mac) mailboxes to copy your inbox and sent mail to. Use the plus sign at the bottom left of the mail window, then New Mailbox. Make sure the location is "On My Mac". Create one called POP INbox and one called POP Sent Mail. Then drag and drop, or copy and paste, from the existing inbox/sent to the new ones. Once that's done, you can delete the POP account in Preferences, and create a new IMAP one. You can copy back the saved Inbox/Sent mail if you need to.
