Spotlight problem

All of a sudden when I use spotlight to find old emails it goes from 8/2013 back to 1/2013 and I can't find any of the emails in between. This just started yesterday. Before that I could always find old emails through spotlight. HELP!!! I use spolight all the time to find old emails I need to look at again.
